Job Description
Your mission
Working within the Games Creation team you will be responsible for creating and validating math models for online slots and other games. You will be inspired by market leading content and pursue innovation, working in collaboration with Game Designers to deliver best in class gambling games.
What you’ll do
- Develop math models for gambling games that are robust and highly engaging to the player
- Use spreadsheets and simulation to create the best gaming experience possible
- Ensure all games meet necessary jurisdictional compliance requirements
- Provide statistical summaries that can be easily understood by non-mathematicians
- Work with game designers to turn game ideas into practical math models
- Review proposed designs and features and suggest alternatives when necessary.
- Provide detailed statistical analysis of ideas under review.
- Put forward your own game design ideas
- Work with the Engineering Teams that create the math model in a game
- Document model data, structure and implementation details
- Validate that game engine statistics match the math model
- Help troubleshoot the engineering team’s implementation of a model
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the math development process
- Support existing math models and features
- Keep up to date with industry practices and developments
What you’ll NEED
- A degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- 2+ years’ experience as a Mathematician in online gaming
- Use of Excel spreadsheets to design math models
- Experience using a high-level programming language, C++ preferred
- A portfolio of published games
- Excellent English language skills, written and spoken
