As we take this exciting step, we are seeking an experienced, ambitious, and entrepreneurial Registered Manager who shares our vision for excellence in care and wants to help shape this service from the ground up.

Role Description

As the Registered Manager, you will hold full operational and regulatory responsibility for the home, leading it from its pre-registration phase through to Ofsted registration and the ongoing delivery of outstanding care thereafter.

  • Build the operational framework for safeguarding, supervision, care planning, and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the home’s location risk assessment, fire safety, and health and safety readiness.
  • Prepare for Ofsted interviews and ensure all documentation and systems demonstrate readiness for registration.
  • Lead recruitment and safer recruitment checks for all staff.

Post-Ofsted Registration Phase

  • Take full responsibility for the home’s day-to-day management and regulatory compliance, ensuring operations meet or exceed Ofsted and organisational standards.
  • Provide strong leadership, supervision, and direction to your team to deliver consistent, high-quality, child-centred care.
  • Oversee and review individual care plans, ensuring they reflect each child’s needs, goals, and progress.
  • Promote and maintain a safeguarding-first culture, ensuring all staff understand and follow child protection policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement through regular audits, feedback, and quality assurance processes to sustain at least a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, local authorities, and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant records across all operational areas.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
