The purpose of this role is to ensure the proper and timely movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service within the Air Import department by completing the following tasks:
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
- Processpre alerts from overseas origins
- Monitor/trackshipments in transit to arrival
- Timely updateevent codes in the import system
- Liaisewith airlines and sheds for any discrepancies
- Liaisewith collection drivers and the warehouse team
- Createrecords for shipments in our customs facility
- Settlement of consoles with overseas offices.
- Contribute to maintain strong relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking companies, and others).
- Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer’s policies / requirements.
- Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.

4 days on 4 days off 6am - 6pm, As part of this rota, some weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required.
