ERS are excited to be partnered with a Building Services and Environmental Design consultancy based in Oxford who have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering professional to join their team.
This is an opportunity that perfectly marries a hard working ethic, and work life balance. You’ll be joining a team who are working on some complex designs with Oxford University, colleges and lab work, whilst also promoting the importance of flexibility. This team has no glass ceiling, being the perfect place to join if you are looking to progress your Building Services career over the next few years.

Basics of the role
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects, including providing technical support
- Monitor budgets for clients based on their specifications to ensure work is delivered to budget and timescales
- Liaise with clients and external designers
- Compile specifications, drawings and contract documents to the required technical quality, ensuring designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations and procedures
- Provide building engineering services design to buildings and infrastructure
- Identify scope changes, under the change control process, and maintain planning and cost control
Who are we looking for
- First and foremost we are looking for someone who is a self starter and can work autonomously, as well as part of a team
- You’ll have 4+ years of working in Mechanical Building Services Design
- UK driving licence
- Ideally hold an industry recognised BEng or MEng degree
