The Marketing Analytics Manager plays a vital role in providing analytical insight for Marketing initiatives at B2B, with the objective of driving revenue, defining merchandising playbooks, and quantifying the incremental impact of marketing campaigns. Working in a cross-functional environment, the Marketing Analytics Manager will build strong relationships with key stakeholders (Marketing Senior Directors, as well as directors and managers), managing projects and interacting with various organizations across Expedia brands and within the B2B organisation. Being part of the B2B Analytics team, the Marketing Analytics Manager will act as the subject matter expert on marketing-related matters.
The ideal candidate would have strong analytical and technical skills, paired with a good understanding of marketing in a white-label environment, and combined with an interest in travel technology!
What you'll do:
- Create processes and dashboards to monitor marketing performance, visualizing insights for stakeholders
- Play a key role in defining our marketing attribution strategy in a complex B2B2C marketing environment
- Highlight and deliver opportunities to improve top & bottom-line revenue through marketing projects and proactive optimisations
- Automate campaign analytics to ensure the scalability of accurate insights to marketing managers
- Perform statistical analysis to measure the impact of new marketing initiatives on revenue, customer long-term value & campaign attribution, highlighting actionable growth opportunities
- Evaluate revenue risks for new marketing initiatives, proposing solutions to overcome them
- Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, whilst becoming a B2B marketing subject matter expert over time
Experience and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ analytical experience in online travel, online retail, banking, or another data-intensive commercial environment
- Firm understanding of revenue drivers and commercial environment
- Strong understanding of marketing attribution methodologies and web analytics tools
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis in a digestible format and guide stakeholders to data-backed decisions
- Good understanding of statistics with the ability to apply to commercial problem solving
- Ability to analyse large amounts of data, ideally experience with SQL, R or similar language, with demonstrated skills in understanding conversion drivers in an online environment
- Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write SQL from scratch, and good understanding of databases
- Experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau)
