Role summary
Expedia Group is looking for a strategic, commercially minded people leader to lead a team of Market Management professionals, responsible for driving partner performance, executing with rigour against business goals, and scaling smarter ways of working across the lodging portfolio. This role combines strong people leadership with commercial ownership, helping teams translate market insight into clear partner strategies, measurable account plans, and sustained business impact.
What you will do?
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Market Management team across our London, Edinburgh and Dublin offices, building a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous growth.
- Set clear business priorities and operating expectations for the team, ensuring strong execution against commercial goals, partner plans, and scorecard outcomes.
- Drive partner performance by helping teams identify the highest-impact opportunities across areas such as rate competitiveness, promotions, availability, visibility, and commercial activation.
- Build and inspect effective account and market plans that connect partner actions to measurable business outcomes.
- Lead a disciplined operating cadence using standardised reviews, actionable insights, and clear accountability mechanisms to improve consistency and execution across markets.
- Use data, market context, and business judgement to make clear decisions, prioritise resources, and focus the team on the highest-value opportunities.
- Strengthen strategic relationships with key partners and senior stakeholders, positioning Expedia Group as a trusted, indispensable growth partner.
- Coach leaders and team members on executive communication, stakeholder management, objection handling, negotiation, and value-based selling.
- Champion scalable ways of working, including the use of AI-enabled tools and systems that improve preparation, insight generation, partner conversations, and commercial planning.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams including Product, Analytics, Marketing, Revenue Management, Supply, and Operations to unlock partner and market growth.
- Identify external trends, competitor moves, and market signals early, and translate them into strategic actions for your team and portfolio.
- Create opportunities for talent mobility, succession planning, and leadership development across the organisation.

- An experienced commercial leader with deep expertise in account management, partner growth, sales, or market management.
- A strong people leader who knows how to coach managers, build leadership capability, and lead through change.

- Skilled at balancing strategic thinking with operational follow-through.
- Credible with senior internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to influence through insight, clarity, and business value.

- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and strong judgement matters.
Preferred experience
- Typically 12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10+ years with a Master's degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of people management experience leading managers and/or senior individual contributors.
- Experience owning commercial performance goals across a region, segment, or strategic account portfolio.
- Experience developing account strategies, leading business reviews, and influencing senior decision-makers.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive execution at scale.
- Experience using data tools, CRM platforms, and AI-enabled workflows to improve commercial effectiveness is strongly preferred.
