As a Senior Architect within Expedia B2B, you will shape the technical direction of our platform, bridging complex business challenges with scalable, forward‑thinking solutions. You will partner across engineering and product teams to guide decisions that directly drive outcomes for our global B2B partners.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex, cross‑functional technical projects and drive architectural design end‑to‑end, ensuring alignment with the North Star vision.
- Establish technical approaches, define common patterns and standards, and guide integrations across teams within the business unit.
- Apply systems thinking across organizational boundaries, analyzing issues holistically and making recommendations on policies and processes to improve efficiency.
- Facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop effective solutions to technical and business challenges.
- Partner with business stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of how your technology stack connects to business outcomes and the bottom line.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience in software architecture or a related engineering discipline (with a bachelor's degree), or 6+ years (with a master's degree).
- Experience leading technical design end‑to‑end across multiple projects, with a demonstrated ability to justify technology choices to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working in decentralized, cross‑functional teams across at least two multi‑quarter projects.
- Formal experience mentoring at least three individuals.
- Proficiency in multiple technologies or programming languages, with deep expertise in at least one technical domain.
- Strong understanding of how complex systems interact, including integration and communication patterns across applications, databases, and technology platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to define and communicate technology standards and patterns across an organization.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Active contributions to the broader engineering community, such as blog posts, open‑source contributions, tech talks, or conference presentations.
- Experience connecting technology decisions to lines of business outcomes and broader organizational goals.
