About the team
The Lodging Connectivity team at Expedia Group connects our global marketplace to leading Hotel and Vacation Rental connectivity providers—expanding traveller choice and driving competitive selection across our brands.
About the role
We’re looking for a Director, Hotel Connectivity Account Management to help drive, manage and optimise our Hotel Connectivity provider network. You’ll drive our Hotel Connectivity strategy, whilst managing and helping the account management team drive adoption and usage of Expedia Group's API suite.
What you will do
- Drive and execute the Hotel Connectivity Strategy to a team of global Hotel Connectivity Account Managers through OKRs, KPIs and other performance metrics.
- Advocate the Hotel Connectivity space internally across multiple teams, locations, functions, and stakeholders. (Teams include Product, Tech, Finance, Analytics, Strategy).
- Lead commercial contract conversations with key partners, navigating both external and internal stakeholders to deliver on partnership goals.
- Responsible for account management, existing business activity, and regional level financial goals for regional and global accounts. Setting and driving business, team and stakeholder strategy.
- Act as an innovator and thought leader around new products, technologies, and offerings.
- Drive leaders within your team to develop a performance-focused strategy through effective account plans and innovation to drive sales performance and effectiveness.
- Identify business opportunities by acting as an industry expert to provide insight and support a competitive strategy.
- Provide strategic advice to connectivity account managers to assist them in achieving business goals by defining, negotiating, and delivering value-added solutions to all stakeholders and serving as a customer advocate.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years within a commercial role driving Tech account management teams, ideally within Travel, tech ecosystems or similar.
- Strong leadership skills with a strong thirst to build high performing teams.
- Recognised business acumen with a go-getter mindset.
- Proficiency in corporate contracting to large enterprise value.
- Analytical thinker with experience using data to identify trends, evaluate opportunities and guide decisions.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, comfortable working cross-functionally with commercial, product, and technical teams.
- Results-oriented and organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Proactive, resourceful and passionate about building scalable business growth.
- English fluency required; additional languages are a plus.
