Overview
Senior Manager, Content Creation and Curation (CRM) at Expedia Group. The Content and Comprehension Team is focused on modernizing and optimizing how content powers high-performing CRM campaigns. The Senior Manager will architect, manage, and ensure the effectiveness of content systems, processes, and outputs across all brands as we centralize and scale a Content Library (Content Bank).
Responsibilities
- Content Bank Architecture & Tool Leadership
- Lead the setup and ongoing optimization of the content management tool
- Partner with Production to drive development of the Content Library’s taxonomy—defining categories, tagging standards, meta-data structures, and searchability features for scalable and consistent usage
- Oversee content governance, version control, naming conventions, and the regular refresh of the content library
- End-to-End Workflow Management
- Design and implement content intake, creation, approval, QA, localization, and deployment processes that serve diverse campaigns and brands
- Own workflow documentation, hand-offs, service level agreements (SLAs), and streamlining of cross-team operations
- Content Creation & Creative Collaboration
- Translate business needs into actionable creative and copywriting requirements, optimizing for test variants and brand positioning
- Ensure consistent tone of voice, creative standards, and best practices across all published campaigns
- Technical Enablement & Automation
- Leverage automation, AI, and dynamic content capabilities within the library for enhanced speed, personalization, and performance measurement
- Ensure robust tagging and integration to facilitate efficient content retrieval and campaign deployment
- Stakeholder Management & Training
- Act as a key point of contact between Content Creation, Production, CRM, Brand Creative, UX, Legal, and external partners
- Develop and implement content library onboarding, documentation, governance, and training programs for all stakeholders
- Performance & Feedback
- Monitor and report on usage, accuracy, turnaround times, and key KPIs (e.g., % of emails using the library, error rate, satisfaction)
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in content management, content operations, or digital asset management
- Significant experience architecting, launching, and scaling content libraries or banks within a CRM or marketing context
- Deep understanding of taxonomy, content tagging strategies, meta-data frameworks, versioning, and digital asset management best practices
- Experience designing and optimizing workflow across the full content lifecycle: briefing, creation, review, QA, deployment, and performance analytics
- Strong background in creative collaboration—translating strategic briefs, ensuring copywriting standards, and managing visual asset production
- Familiarity with AI/automation tools for content generation, content testing, or modular campaign assembly
- Exceptional stakeholder management, change management, and internal communications skills
- Experience delivering training and process documentation for large, distributed teams
- Analytically minded; comfortable using metrics and audits to drive continuous improvement
Compensation & Benefits
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
