The Senior Manager, Air Loss Optimization role sits at the intersection of air operations, traveler experience, and product improvement. You will lead the strategy and execution to identify, reduce, and prevent avoidable air‑related loss while protecting traveler trust and long‑term loyalty. Working closely with Air stakeholders, Operations, Product, Finance, and process owners, you will turn loss insights into measurable actions, stronger controls, and scalable improvements that balance financial outcomes with customer experience.
In This Role You Will
- Define and lead the air loss optimization strategy, balancing reduction of avoidable air, agency debit memo, and agent error loss with sustainable financial return on investment.
- Lead and develop a team responsible for agency debit memo, agent error, and air loss prevention, fostering accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and run governance forums to align stakeholders on priorities, investment choices, and trade‑offs between cost reduction, recovery, and operational efficiency.
- Own end‑to‑end agency debit memo and agent error management and prevention, including recovery strategies, controls, governance routines, and scalable operating playbooks.
- Identify systemic loss drivers and build data‑backed business cases for product, process, or policy changes that reduce loss at scale.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Operations, Finance, and other teams to translate insights into implemented, measurable change.
- Recommend air compensation and related policy updates based on return on investment, operational impact, and performance outcomes.
- Set operating rhythms and performance reporting that track loss reduction, recovery effectiveness, and realized business value.
- Act as a senior leader on air loss topics, bringing sound judgment and a practical, value‑focused approach to decision‑making.
- Deliver a clear, data‑driven view of the biggest air loss drivers and where intervention will have the highest return.
- Deliver a prioritized roadmap of operational, process, and product changes to reduce preventable loss.

Experience And Qualifications
- You have 12+ years of total professional experience, including 7+ years of leadership experience leading managers and operational teams in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments.
- You must have experience in airline, air servicing, airline policy, agency debit memo management, or other air‑related environments.
- You have led operational, financial, loss, revenue recovery, or quality programs in related service environments.
- You use strong analytical skills to interpret trends, isolate systemic drivers, and convert findings into action.
- You can influence across stakeholder groups and lead governance forums or steering committees.
- You have a track record of building business cases and partnering on product, process, or workflow changes.
- You are familiar with agency debit memos, agent error, recoup, policy, and operational control frameworks.
