Introduction To The Team

Expedia Group is building the next generation of Product Details Pages that help travelers make confident booking decisions while enabling partners to effectively merchandise their offerings on Expedia’s Travel Marketplace. The Product Details Page is the pivotal decision moment where traveler intent either converts into confident commitment or dissolves into loops and abandonment, especially for high-stakes, high-complexity trips. The PDP is rapidly evolving into a dynamic, AI‑enhanced experience that adapts to traveler intent, context, and partner goals. We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of a next-generation AI‑enhanced Product Details Page experiences. You will own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for product details page capabilities—from discovery and traveler journey mapping, through experimentation, launch, adoption, and measurement. Working closely with design, engineering, analytics, and partner teams, you will translate traveler insights and partner needs into clear product requirements. Your focus will be to make PDPs more informative, personalized, cohesive and performant, by surfacing the most relevant information at the right moment for the right traveler and enabling partners to highlight what matters most—so travelers can focus on choosing the right trip with confidence. You will operate at a principal level: setting a multi-year, multi-brand platform vision for PDP, leading multi-team programs, and mentoring other product managers across the ecosystem.

In This Role, You Will

  • Define and drive the long-term product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the Product Details Page experience, aligning outcomes to Expedia Group’s customer, brand, partner, and business objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end product discovery and delivery for new PDP platform capabilities, features, and optimizations, including opportunity assessment, hypothesis formation, experimentation, and iterative refinement based on qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Translate customer problems and business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and success metrics, collaborating closely with design, engineering, data science, and other cross-functional teams to ship high-quality solutions.
  • Use data, experimentation frameworks, and rigorous A/B testing to prioritize work, validate impact, and make trade-off decisions across multiple PDP surfaces, platforms, and customer journeys.
  • Partner with platform, search, pricing, content, and merchandising teams to ensure the PDP is performant, reliable, and adaptable across lines of business, device types, and markets, leveraging shared capabilities where appropriate.
  • Define and deliver a context-aware PDP blueprint that adapts to traveler type, trip type, intent state, and context, balancing shared platform capabilities with brand-specific needs.
  • Incorporate AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows into PDP capabilities where grounded in business value, and safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve relevance, personalization, and overall customer outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical, quantitative, or related field, or equivalent practical experience in digital product management.
  • Extensive experience in product management for consumer-facing digital products or e-commerce experiences, including ownership of a core customer-facing surface or journey.
  • Proven track record of defining and executing product strategy and roadmaps within a complex, cross-functional environment, with clear accountability for outcomes, KPIs, and experimentation results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering, design, and analytics teams on technically complex features, including familiarity with web application architecture, APIs, data flows, and experimentation platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products in a way that is measurable, safe, and aligned with regulatory and organizational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning and optimizing a Product Details Page or equivalent high-impact conversion surface at significant scale, including leading multi-variant experiments and personalization initiatives.
  • Experience in content-focused AI/ML technologies (NLP, Topic Modelling & Clustering, LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)) and ranking problems & recommendation systems.
  • Demonstrated success in building and evolving platform capabilities, services, or shared components that power multiple product experiences or journeys, and in working across domains to align on strategy and execution.
  • Strong background in using advanced analytics, experimentation, and customer research to inform decision-making, including partnering with data science/ML teams on ranking, relevance, or recommendation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption, including initial discovery, early validation, launch strategy, growth, and ongoing optimization within a complex product and technical ecosystem.
