Travel Partnerships and Advertising helps partners, including hotels, vacation rentals, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply and our leading advertising and travel media network.

Market Manager Responsibilities

  • The Market Manager's primary responsibility in their assigned territory is to initiate, develop and maintain a high‑quality portfolio of hotel chains for Expedia's fast‑growing global customer base.
  • Continuously work with hotel partners to help them maximize production potential from their participation in the Expedia marketplace.
  • Ensure that Expedia's brands global customers always find the most suitable hotel for their dream trip.
  • Consistently leverage data specific to their market available in Expedient, Expedia's proprietary market insights and activity prioritization dashboard.
  • Build and progressively expand their portfolio of local hotel partners.
  • Develop and sustain strong partner relationships by providing relevant data insights and superior support services.
  • Ensure that partner hotels' product is consistently optimized and competitive on the Expedia sites.
  • Secure additional inventory over high demand and compression periods.
  • Continuously promote to and develop hotel partners' high engagement with Expedia's full suite of tools and opportunities.
  • Represent Expedia in the local market and build Expedia's company profile with key local influencers.
  • Provide coaching to colleagues on best practices.
  • Execute effectively based on KPI metrics set by LPS leadership.
  • 20-30% of travel may be required for market visits.

Qualifications And Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience and college/university or Master degree; degree in Hospitality, Tourism or Business Administration is a plus but not required.
  • High impact personality: intellectual agility, entrepreneurship, empathy in relationship, team player.
  • Hungry, ambitious, motivated, action‑oriented, results‑focused, and metrics‑driven.
  • Organization and time management skills, rigor, attention to details.
  • Proven follow‑up/persistence when facing challenging situations.
