The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for protecting the company’s investment in its debtors, coordinating debts of existing debtors and assessing risks related to new orders. This role requires a strong team player with a solid understanding of collections and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. The position reports to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader and is part of the Finance Team located in Cambridge. It is an on‑site, 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cash posting for three entities, reconciling multi‑currency transactions.
- Liaise with credit controllers, Customer Service, Accounts Payable, and cash management to identify and reconcile payments.
- Work closely with other members of the receipts team to ensure all allocations are completed by the end of the working day.
- Perform other administrative tasks such as uploading invoices into portals and raising invoice reissues.
Essential Requirements
- Working knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong experience working with customers, both internal and external, on a daily basis.
Preferred Experience
- Experience using an accounting system, preferably Oracle.
