Position Overview
We are hiring a Class 2 HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Driver, who will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods to designated locations.
The role requires compliance with road traffic laws, company procedures, and health & safety regulations, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Subsequently working in a responsible manner that complies with and increases product safety and quality
- Safely operate HGV vehicles (Class 2)
- Deliver and collect goods according to planned routes and schedules
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Ensure loads are secure and transported safely
- Complete delivery paperwork and digital records accurately
- Comply with EU/UK drivers’ hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive rules
- Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff.
- Role Requirements
- Valid HGV licence Class 2
- Digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Good geographical knowledge or ability to use navigation systems
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks where required
