Position Overview:
We are hiring a reliable and hardworking Class 1 Driver who will be responsiblefor the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods to designatedlocations. The role requires compliance with road traffic laws, companyprocedures, and health & safety regulations, while maintaining highstandards of professionalism and customer service.
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday // Between 4am-7am - Between 5pm-7pm // 55 hours (flexibility on times required)
Salary: £16.25 per hour // overtime rates available Contract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with BRCGS (food and drink) and GDP(medicine) guidelines following training
- Subsequently workingin a responsible manner that complies with and increases product safety andquality
- Safelyoperate a HGV Class 1 vehicle
- Deliverand collect goods according to planned routes and schedules
- Carryout daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Ensureloads are secure and transported safely
- Completedelivery paperwork and digital records accurately
- Complywith EU/UK drivers' hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive rules
- Maintaincleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
- Communicateeffectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff.
RoleRequirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of road safety and transportregulations
- Willingness to work within a banked hoursarrangement in line with operational requirements.

- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Good geographical knowledge or ability to usenavigation systems
- Physically fit and able to handle manual taskswhere required
