Overview
Do you have what it takes to make the shelves irresistible to shoppers? Do you have a knack for spotting what looks good and creating eye-catching displays? Do you have an eye for detail? At eXPD8, we’re looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in the G67 1JW area. You’ll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands. Although you will be based in one area, there are work opportunities across a variety of different stores.
You will be responsible for ensuring the fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and the shelves are well-stocked. This role will be work across a variety of categories including cosmetics, gifts, and cards at Tesco Cumbernauld (New).
Confirmed working days/hours: 10. 5.00 hours can be worked on either Sun, Mon or Tue; 5.00 hours can be worked on either Thu, Fri or Sat. Must work a Wednesday every 6 weeks, 8am start. Plus ad hoc work as interested and agreed.
Responsibilities
- Compliance and Standards: follow and adhere to merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and health and safety guidance.
- Product Placement and Replenishment: arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
- Promotional and Point of Sale Setup: set up promotional displays and signage to communicate prices, discounts, and offers.
- Strong communication and relationship building: build and maintain good working relationships with in-store colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
- Feedback: provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via the feedback application, acting as the eyes and ears in the stores.
What makes you excellent
- Experience of, or a passion for, merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take ownership of your own work within set time frames and use initiative to find solutions.
- Pride in delivering great standards and service for clients.
- Comfort with some manual handling; you may need to move and arrange products from warehouse to shopfloor.
- Willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for some visits (you’ll be paid extra to do so).
- Confidence using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer questions about tasks.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car is a bonus.
