We\’re looking for a Merchandising Team Leader based in the Middleton area. You\’ll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working in a range of high street retailers on behalf of exciting household name brands. We work across categories including: Books and Entertainment, Fashion, Grocery, Health and Beauty, Beers, Wines and Spirits, and Toys.

You\’ll supervise and train your team to ensure they deliver excellent service for our clients and meet all measures and deadlines. Merchandising tasks include setting up Point of Sale displays, checking stock levels, and replenishing fixtures. Every day is different and rewarding! About the role:

The primary recruitment area is Middleton, covering parts of Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale & Burnley.

The contracted hours are 30 per week. You will conduct supervisory tasks for 12 hours at a rate of £12.70/hour and client merchandising tasks for 18 hours at a rate of £12.21/hour.

  • Supervising: Support the coordination of the merchandising schedule for merchandisers in your area. Coach and train colleagues on merchandising principles, processes, and procedures to ensure high-quality service.
  • Compliance and Standards: Act as a compliance champion, ensuring adherence to merchandising standards, store policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines. Follow and implement planograms to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Product Placement and Replenishment: Arrange products on shelves and displays to maximize visibility and appeal.
  • Promotional and Point of Sale Setup: Set up promotional displays and signage to communicate prices, discounts, and offers effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain good relationships with in-store colleagues, especially store and department managers. Provide timely feedback to client teams via our feedback app.

  • A full UK driving license and access to a car for business use
  • Comfortable with manual handling, moving and arranging products from warehouse to shopfloor
  • Experience in retail merchandising, retail, or customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently within set timeframes and find solutions proactively
  • Pride in delivering high standards and service
  • Experience supervising, training, or coaching colleagues is a plus
  • Willing to accept home deliveries of POS or stock items (paid extra)
  • Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer questions
