Expanded are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work on our Monklands Hospital Replacement Project in Glasgow. You will be based near Glasgow Central then moving to Airdrie for the next phase of the project.

Scope: Reinforced concrete structures

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the achievement of safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences.
  • Support the delivery of the sub project to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme and to stringent safety parameters.
  • Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short term programmes of work.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the plan.
  • Ensure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforce.
  • Support the programming of day to day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction team.
  • Interface with the construction manager and sections managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisation.
  • Monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change.
  • Lead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress and design.
  • Ensure effective implementation of Laing O'Rourke project management systems and procedures.
  • Contribute to the contract review process.
  • Chair safety committee meetings on a monthly basis, take minutes, distribute and carry out all actions.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or recognisable qualification).
  • Between 10-15 years' experience.
  • Structures experience.
