Expanded are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to work in our Power Sector.
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the achievement of safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences.
- Support the delivery of the sub project to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme and to stringent safety parameters.
- Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short term programmes of work.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the plan.
- Ensure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforce.
- Support the programming of day to day resource requirements and communicate these to the construction team.
- Interface with the construction manager and sections managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisation.
- Monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change.
- Lead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress and design.
- Ensure effective implementation of Laing O'Rourke project management systems and procedures.
- Contribute to the contract review process.
- Chair safety committee meetings on a monthly basis, take minutes, distribute and carry out all actions.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or recognisable qualification).
- Between 10-15 years' experience.
Start date: Autumn 2026
