About the role

The Revenue Management Accountant plays a central role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization's revenue streams. This position focuses on the end-to-end revenue accounting cycle, ensuring rigorous control over the P&L and balance sheet. A key aspect of the role is delivering precise variance analysis and acting as a trusted business partner to the commercial team, providing clear financial insight to support operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately record revenue-related journals, including accrued income and deferred income, during month-end close in line with IFRS 15.
  • Provide insightful P&L commentary and Budget vs Actual (BVA) analysis focused on revenue performance.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations for all revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
  • Effective business partnering, conducting regular financial reviews with department managers to ensure alignment with budgetary targets and strategic goals.
  • Prepare accurate revenue forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of revenue streams to support commercial and strategic decisions.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist Finance management with other duties and/or projects, as required.
  • Maintain strong controls over revenue processes and highlight any gaps for remediation.
  • Support projects aimed at improving revenue processes, reporting, and system efficiency.

About You

The successful candidate will possess a part-qualified or qualified accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent), prior experience of period-end reporting, a good understanding of reporting under FRS 102 and/or IFRS, detailed knowledge of IFRS 15, and advanced Excel skills, along with strong teamwork, communication, and organisational abilities.
