Exodigo is the leading underground mapping solution for non‑intrusive discovery. Our platforms combine multi‑sensor fusion, 3D imaging, and AI technologies to create complete, accurate underground maps that enable confident decision‑making for customers across the built world. We transform the project lifecycle for our customers, who include key community stakeholders in the utilities, transportation and government sectors.
We are looking for a Bentley Systems specialist with hands‑on expertise and experience in the creation of 3D MEP model asset data using OpenBuildings Designer for numerous global rail infrastructure projects. You likely started your journey in MicroStation, giving a strong understanding of how Bentley projects are structured from the ground up – seed files, coordinates, drawing setup – and have since evolved into a confident 3D modeler. You’re comfortable working within ProjectWise environments and BIM workflows, and understand how to organize, manage, and model both design intent and existing conditions within complex project environments.
This is a hands‑on MEP modeling role with technical leadership. You’ll work closely with clients to translate engineering requirements into coordinated, clash‑free 3D models across complex rail infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Build detailed 3D MEP models in OpenBuildings Designer for station boxes, tunnels, and transportation systems.
- Translate design intent to take 2D engineering drawings and work directly with designers to bring them into coordinated, clash‑free models.
- Coordinate across disciplines to deliver federated, clash‑free models across MEP, structural, and civil disciplines.
- Work within ProjectWise: Manage structured workflows, submissions, transmittals, and alignment with client standards.
- Setup seed files, workspaces/worksets, and structured model environments.
- Deliver drawings and sheets: Create dynamic views, sheets, and drawing outputs from composite models.
- Ensure quality & compliance: Act as the technical authority for advanced QA/QC, clash detection, and ISO 19650 compliance, metadata integration, ensuring alignment with client BIM Execution Plans and formats.
- Incorporate survey data, point clouds, and subsurface utility information into models, with an understanding of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) practices and exposure to standards such as PAS128 (UK) or ASCE 38‑22 (US).
- Engage with clients to resolve engineering challenges and align on BIM deliverables.
- Work across disciplines using Bentley tools (e.g., iTwin, Navigator, iModels) to identify clashes, support design coordination, and help deliver clean, buildable models.
- Guide global junior modelers, continuously improve BIM workflows, and drive digital twin readiness within the Bentley ecosystem.
- Strong hands‑on experience building 3D MEP models in Bentley OpenBuildings Designer (OBD) across infrastructure projects.
- Solid background in MicroStation, with a clear understanding of model setup (seed files, coordinates, drawing standards).
- Experience working in ProjectWise environments, including structured workflows, submissions, and client data standards.
- Proven ability to interpret 2D engineering drawings and translate them into coordinated, buildable 3D models.
- Experience delivering multi‑discipline, clash‑free models across MEP, structural, and civil scopes, with hands‑on use of Bentley tools (iTwin, Navigator, iModels) for model federation, coordination, and clash detection.
- Understanding of BIM standards and delivery frameworks (e.g., ISO 19650, BEPs, client specifications).
- Experience incorporating existing conditions, survey data, point clouds, or utility information into models.
- Comfortable working directly with engineers, project teams, and clients to resolve design and coordination challenges.
- Experience working across platforms—translating or coordinating Bentley‑based models into Autodesk environments (Revit, Navisworks, ACC) using IFC or open BIM workflows.
- Familiarity with point cloud processing and scan‑to‑BIM workflows (e.g., Leica CloudWorx, Recap, or similar).
- Exposure to digital twin workflows, Asset Information Model (AIM) / Project Information Model (PIM), or connected data environments.
- Experience with 4D planning tools such as Synchro or similar.
- Comfort working with metadata, automation, or scripting (Python, Bentley SDK, or similar).
- Engineering degree or background in rail, transit, or major infrastructure projects.
- Work at the intersection of AI, subsurface intelligence, and digital engineering, helping redefine how infrastructure projects are delivered.
- A hands‑on senior role with real ownership, where you’ll directly influence modeling standards, workflows, and project outcomes.
- A small, high‑caliber team that values technical depth, autonomy, and getting things done—no layers of unnecessary process.
- Competitive compensation, flexibility, and the opportunity to grow with a well‑funded, rapidly scaling company.
- The chance to work on complex, high‑impact infrastructure projects with leading transit agencies, utilities, and global clients.
