Role Title: Vice President, Sales – Insurance Personal Lines

Location: London, United Kingdom (Flexible hybrid working)

Employment Type: Permanent

Summary of the role:

As Vice President, Sales – Insurance, you will be responsible for identifying business development opportunities within the Insurance domain, either through existing logos or where EXL has not had a previous relationship. It is expected that the successful candidate will bring experience within the Insurance market, specifically through Personal Lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the sales cycle from deal origination to closure (signed contract) and successful handover to the Operation Management.
  • Drive business development activities and account acquisition by effectively identifying and translating client needs.
  • Bring an understanding of the insurance sector and competitor offerings to drive EXL’s growth strategy and position its’ products and services effectively.
  • Be responsible for significantly growing EXL revenues.
  • Collaborate and develop 3rd party and advisor relations and generate opportunities from this channel.
  • Propose – Submit and handle proposals with full ownership and accountability for the opportunity.
  • Work closely with the sales enablement teams to ensure high quality of proposals.
  • Ensure optimal deployment of resources to achieve business goals.
  • Architecture of proposals (RFP/RFIs) to evince client interest.
  • Work effectively across the EXL organisation and partner with the appropriate team members to demonstrate the depth and breadth of EXL’s solutions.
  • Be a key intermediary between the service delivery team and the customer.

Experience required:

  • Big-deal experience – Person should have proven experience in closing deals with ACV > $2M and TCV > $10M.
  • Balance multiple, concurrent deals to achieve challenging growth targets.
  • Possess established and current relationships with Head of Underwriting, Head of Claims, Transformation Directors, Head of Procurement.
  • Bring experience in working with C-Suite executives in the insurance domain.
  • Experience with Personal Lines within the Insurance sector is essential.
  • Astute at identifying and qualifying leads, be able to develop strong relationships at potential client organisations and have the proven ability to convert these relationships into commercial engagements in situations where little to no previous relationship existed.
  • Effectively and proactively managed client’s expectations, built deep client partnerships, and developed excellent communication and executive presence to connect at all levels in the organization.
  • Experience in selling long-term complex multimillion-dollar products, services, or solutions within the specific markets.
  • Ability to communicate confidently at the C-level to build meaningful internal and external relationships.
  • Broad functional knowledge within the specific sector and able to connect with a variety of executive-level stakeholders on their specific pain points.
  • Experience of leading and directing on and off-shore matrixed teams.

Qualifications essential for the role:

  • Minimum – Degree or Post Graduate or equivalent CII Insurance professional qualification
  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience working with Insurance clients
  • Minimum 10 years within consulting environment with BPO solutions
  • Experience with Personal Lines within Insurance is essential.
