- Provide guidance and oversight to vendor‑supplied squad members to ensure consistent delivery quality, alignment to standards, and a strong focus on value realisation.
- Define, maintain, and communicate a clear roadmap for data products, balancing short‑term MVP delivery with longer‑term strategic objectives.
- Prioritise initiatives based on business value, technical feasibility, and user needs, ensuring transparent and structured decision‑making.
- Identify and manage delivery dependencies across squads and teams to ensure timely and predictable product releases.
- Ensure that planning artefacts, backlogs, and roadmaps are maintained to a high standard and aligned with organisational governance processes.
- Facilitate effective collaboration between data engineering, analytics, governance, architecture, and business teams to ensure cohesive and aligned delivery.
- Ensure consistency of data definitions, quality expectations, and usage policies across all data products produced by the vendor.
- Lead discovery sessions, cross‑functional workshops, and requirement‑gathering activities to validate assumptions and ensure a value‑focused product direction.
- Promote a shared understanding of data product capabilities and updates through documentation, demonstrations, and structured stakeholder engagement.
- Define, track, and report on KPIs that demonstrate the success, adoption, and performance of data products.
- Evaluate business value delivered and incorporate feedback to refine future iterations of data products.
- Work with business and finance stakeholders to support benefit quantification, including ROI assessments and cost‑benefit analyses of data initiatives.
- Ensure data products actively contribute to strategic outcomes such as operational efficiency, enhanced decision‑making, improved customer experience, or revenue enablement.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in data, AI, and product management, integrating relevant advancements into product strategy and delivery approaches.
- Identify opportunities to enhance scalability, efficiency, usability, and innovation within data products.
- Encourage structured experimentation and continuous improvement initiatives that drive better outcomes and reduced complexity.
