Title: QA Manager – Credit Risk Decisioning
We are seeking an accomplished QA Manager to lead the quality assurance and testing of complex credit risk decisioning programmes within the retail banking domain. In this senior role, you will define and execute the end-to-end QA strategy, ensuring that all credit risk systems and processes meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the QA strategy and framework for credit risk decisioning systems and processes.
- Lead test planning, execution, and automation, ensuring quality, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with delivery, business, and technology teams to validate solutions and ensure alignment with business intent.
- Drive agile testing practices, including continuous integration, test automation, and iterative validation.
- Oversee defect management, risk assessment, and root‑cause analysis to uphold quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Mentor and guide QA teams to adopt best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in retail banking with a solid understanding of credit risk strategies and decisioning logic.
- Ability to interpret and validate decision‑making rules against business and compliance requirements.
- Strong hands‑on experience in SAS programming for data validation, test data creation, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel and QA/testing tools; experience in test automation and CI/CD environments.
- Demonstrated success managing large‑scale QA programmes with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills and Personal Attributes
- Experience testing credit risk systems or supporting strategy optimisation initiatives.
- Advanced SAS programming skills for testing and data validation.
- Prior QA leadership experience within major retail banks.
- Professional certifications such as ISTQB, Agile, or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
