EXL is seeking a BigID Implementation Specialist with strong, hands-on experience in BigID to support the implementation and optimisation of the platform. This role requires proven expertise across key areas of the BigID lifecycle, with a focus on data discovery, personal data tagging, classification, and data analysis.

You will be responsible for executing data discovery activities, configuring classifiers and tagging rules, and supporting the analysis and export of discovery results within BigID. The role also involves identifying platform limitations and contributing to practical workaround solutions to maximise BigID capabilities and ensure successful delivery of data governance and data privacy objectives.

This is a mid-level position suited to candidates with 5+ years of experience in data governance, privacy, or security, with direct BigID implementation experience and exposure to tools such as Collibra or Informatica.

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Support the end-to-end implementation of BigID, including configuration, data source onboarding, scanning, classification, and reporting.
  • Execute data discovery activities across structured, unstructured, cloud, and on-premise data sources.
  • Develop and maintain data classifiers, tagging rules, and policies to identify sensitive data (PII, PHI, PCI).
  • Configure data tagging and metadata enrichment workflows to support privacy and governance requirements.
  • Perform data discovery scans and assist in troubleshooting connector, performance, and coverage issues.
  • Analyse discovery results and support delivery of insights, data quality findings, and remediation actions.
  • Assist in designing solutions to export and analyse data from BigID in required formats.
  • Identify platform gaps and contribute to workaround solutions to improve outcomes.
  • Support migration activities from tools such as Collibra to BigID.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment with governance and privacy objectives.
