Exciting new in-house role in the Trade Finance & Lending legal team of a well-known investment bank, based in London. As Trade Finance and Lending Legal Counsel you are supporting the Legal function in Transactions, Global Credit Markets Lending and Corporate Banking matters. In this role you will advise on new products and initiatives, as well as working with the Head of Legal and other stakeholders to structure these new products and initiatives, and to produce legal documentation. You will also give transactional support and provide guidance on legal/product issues to ensure compliance with the business’ risk management framework. Complex transactional work you will be assisting on includes multi-product and/or multi-jurisdictional transactions in collaboration with relevant product specialist Lawyers, regional and country Heads of Legal in and for Europe. The Legal Team and wider business you would be working in, provides great learning opportunities and a flexible working arrangement. This Finance and Lending role is for someone who is looking to take their career in-house, working for a top investment bank or someone who has already worked in-house in a similar capacity through a permanent role or secondment. The successful candidate must be 1-3 years post-qualified (PQE) with previous experience in general/bilateral lending and preferably also in trade finance transactions. Business acumen and knowledge of relevant regulatory framework is a plus.
