A fantastic opportunity has arisen in a highly successful Global asset management company for a mid-level retail funds lawyer to join their legal team.
Main tasks
– Advising on Retail funds (including OEICs) as well as domestic and international fund authorisations
– Assisting with the launch of a major international umbrella fund and its sub-funds.
– Assisting with general regulatory advice in the EU (including AIFMD) & US.
– Advising on ad hoc compliance matters
– Advising the business on general asset management legal matters
Essential skills
– Qualified lawyer with minimum 3PQE at a major law firm or asset management business.
– Excellent academics
– A team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
– Business facing experience and the ability to understand and respond effectively to commercial needs.
– A Commercial approach
– Strong knowledge of retail funds especially Open Ended Investment Companies
– Some technology experience and familiarity with web-based funds desirable though not essential
– Prior in-house experience / in-house secondment experience also desirable though not essential
– Ability to work autonomously when necessary
