An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Head in the Governance team of a top tier investment bank based in London. The Company Secretariat provides support and company secretarial services to the holding company, its Board, Board committees and subsidiary companies. The team also has responsibility for setting and delivering the strategy for the relationships with private shareholders. This role reports to the Director of Governance and will also involve line management responsibility.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure committees operate effectively and with relevant support.
- Advising the Committee Chair of a regulated subsidiary board.
- Managing coordination of governance requirements across subsidiaries.
- Preparing the committee's annual report.
- Acting as an assistant secretary to the management-level Group committee.
The successful candidates will have previous company secretarial experience and strong stakeholder management skills. You will either be a UK qualified corporate lawyer or chartered company secretary with public company expertise. You will have trained with a top firm or have previous in-house experience in a similar capacity and have a strong technical ability which is essential given the heavy focus on disclosure and compliance with regulatory obligations.
