My client is a high growth payments FinTech which has already achieved significant market share of the UK payments business. The plan is to continue this growth and backed by a significant PE player the business is in growth mode.

The CFO has need of a high calibre Finance Director who can take ownership for leading the controller activities of the newly created company including:

  • Accounting and internal controls (incl. SOX)
  • Consolidation and external financial reporting
  • Stress models and wind-down plans

In addition, the department will own all finance related policy documentation, statutory compliance, Procurement, Tax and accounting operations teams where there is significant support from a near shored location. The current team size is 10-15 and this is expected to grow.

This is a senior management role playing a critical part in driving the strategic and operational set up of the finance team. The role holder will have ownership of the front to back financial and management reporting of the company as well as statutory and regulatory reporting.

The role is based near Canary Wharf and flexible working is available. A strong package of salary and bonus plus benefits are on offer.
