Job Description
The role has the responsibility of facing-off to Big 4 auditors and tax advisers from a stakeholder management perspective – where tax compliance responsibilities will be mostly outsourced with the role focusing on oversight and management rather than the actual doing of the compliance.
Additional responsibilities will include advisory on the launch of new funds, restructuring projects and tax assistance in investor meetings. This opportunity is also a fantastic opportunity to transition into a high performing asset management firm, with the view to then progress to other areas of the business further down the line.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the firm’s relationship with Big 4 tax advisors and auditors, and working collaboratively with various internal teams on tax-related matters.
- Preparation of tax related balances/reconcilliations in the monthly accounts and coordinating with external auditors regarding the tax provisions in the year-end financial statements.
- Overseeing tax certification and investor tax reporting process for various jurisidictions (including UK, US, Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
- Oversight of tax compliance matters (undertaken by external advisors), including corporation tax, VAT and transfer pricing for the BlueBay corporate group entities (including UK, US, Luxembourg, Japan, Switzerland, Ireland
- Oversight of tax compliance for fund entities (undertaken by external advisors), including corporation tax returns, VAT returns and transfer pricing
