Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Tax Compliance:
- Manage the preparation and submission of UK corporation tax returns and computations.
- Oversee the tax implications for investment activities.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the firm and investments
- Handle tax inquiries and audits from HMRC.
- Provide tax planning advice to the finance and investment teams.
- Indirect Tax Compliance:
- Manage VAT compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Ensure compliance with other relevant indirect taxes.
- Advise on the VAT implications of transactions and business activities.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning and compliance.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with the fund accountants regarding tax related matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA) with a strong tax background.
- Proven experience in a tax management role, preferably within the financial services industry, ideally within a hedge fund or asset management firm.

- Familiarity with international tax principles is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
