About the job:
For our Corporate division, in Trafford Park, UK, as soon as possible, we are looking for a GA, Tax & Treasury Specialist.
Reporting to the GA, Tax & Treasury Manager your mission will be to manage the day-to-day activities of the GA, Tax & Treasury Specialist areas within the business to ensure the tasks are delivered accurately and on time.
What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?
- Prepare accounting according to local regulations, asset management, taxes, insurance, and travel expense coordination
- Support monthly/annual group reporting according to group regulations and procedures.
- Allocate costs to the correct General Ledger, department, and period by managing and booking accruals/prepayments.
- Prepare and file VAT declarations and keep VAT knowledge up to date.
- Prepare statutory accounts for the pension company/scheme
- Prepare data for tax consultants to complete corporate income tax calculations.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly (Blackline).
- Provide documentation for internal, external, and tax audits.
- Respond to local authorities (e.g., statistics).
- Ensure compliance with payment policies.
- Ensure timely payments in correct currencies and maintain bank accounts.
- Provide the business with accurate cash forecasting and request the cash needs controlling receipts/funding and assuring that they are in line with the weekly forecast.
- Prepare payments (automatic and/or manual ones) according with the weekly forecast (cash needs) and with the monthly schedule. Collect signatures and confirm if the payments are all executed on banks.
- Support SSC teams on an ad hoc basis to obtain problematic overdue payments.
- Support banking provider relationships.
- Assist with general / ad hoc finance responsibilities and support (UK/BNL).
What we ask for:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Higher professional education in Finance & Accounting.
- Good knowledge in IT tools. Ability to use Excel.
- Be fully capable of communicating, negotiating, making presentations and reports in fluent English, at a business and technical level.
