About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive SharePoint Online Administrator to join our dynamic international IT team. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years' hands-on experience in administering SharePoint Online environments including workflows, with deep proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Cloud services. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in the configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of our digital collaboration platforms. The role will report into the Senior Director IT Infrastructure & Operations.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Manage site collections, permissions, user access, and security groups in accordance with organisational policies.
- Implement and enforce governance, compliance, and data retention policies for SharePoint Online and associated Microsoft 365 services.
- Develop, test, and deploy SharePoint solutions, including workflows, document libraries, lists, and site templates.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyse requirements and deliver innovative solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration.
- Monitor system health, conduct regular audits, and troubleshoot issues related to SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and Azure integrations.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring efficient adoption and effective use of SharePoint and related tools.
- Stay current with Microsoft 365 and Azure updates, recommending and implementing new features and best practices.
- Coordinate and manage other team members where applicable (may be External resources) to work on and complete SharePoint tasks, initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in SharePoint Online administration within enterprise environments.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (Primarily Teams and Power Platform).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure Security, and related cloud services.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, permissions, site design, and content management.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
- Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and information protection within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Ability to integrate SharePoint Online with other Microsoft and third-party services.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for cloud-based collaboration platforms.
- Experience in the .Net platform creating and maintaining web applications using WebForms, Web services and CSOM.
- Experience in SQL Server, creating tables and complex queries etc.
- Ability to create and maintain SPFx apps on the SharePoint platform.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced English language skills (C1 – Advanced) would be required for this role.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
