Own the creator engine behind the next era of Exhale's growth
Are you a performance-creative operator who realises the future of performance marketing is creator-led, and paid and organic social are converging into a single craft?
The best brands no longer run a creative team that makes ads and a separate social team on opposite sides of the business.
They run one content engine, built on a managed roster of creators, whose work feeds paid and organic at the same time.
The Head of Creator will own that engine.
This is a rare one, a genuinely new role, at the centre of everything we're building.
Unifying paid and organic, through external creators with the help of internal creative strategists.
At Exhale we’re on a mission to inspire an active, outdoors and healthy lifestyle; which is all made better when fuelled by our ridiculously healthy coffee.
Launched in 2020 as a cross between Patagonia and Red Bull, for the healthy generation, we're already one of the biggest D2C coffee brands in the UK, with 100,000 subscribers.
We’ve nicknamed 2026 the ‘Year of the Brand’ and we need the help of awesome creators to bring it to life!
Important: this is not a Creative Director role, and it is not influencer marketing.
We're not hiring a designer or an art director, and we're not buying reach from big followings.
This role is about people and performance: finding awesome creators, understanding what makes content convert and travel, and running one engine that feeds paid ads and organic social alike.
The successful applicant must be a natural leader and doer, with real story-telling ability, incredible people skills, and a proven record of turning creator content into performance.
Be prepared to build the engine that will become one of the most important parts of the business.
This role is not for the faint hearted.

- Team: you'll build it: a creative and creator team will be shaped around you
- Location / working style: Fully remote
- Salary: £55k to £90k depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus and/or equity.

- What you'll be doing
Build and lead the creator engine.
A core inner circle of creators producing most of our content, treated as true partners and production studios, plus continual outreach to test new talent and find gems.
Own creative strategy across paid and organic.
The angles, the hooks, the briefs, and the iteration loop that turns winning organic concepts into winning ads and vice versa.
You'll set the creative testing process and own its results.
Bring a performance mindset to our organic social.
One engine, same creators, same concepts, feeding the grid and the ad account side by side, with the hook discipline of a good ad applied to everything.
Run the content flywheel into paid.
Partnership ads, negotiate usage rights, ensure a constant supply of fresh creative into the growth side of the business who decide where it runs.
Set the taste.
You’ll be the guardian of what good looks like across everything the creator engine produces, drawing on the brand world our CMO and Head of Brand own.
Build the internal team.
You’ll shape and grow a dynamic team around you including creative strategists, video editors, creator partnership managers etc.
About you
- You've personally built a creator-led content engine that fed paid social, and you can show the results: how you sourced and briefed creators, how their content performed as ads.
- A performance-creative background (creative strategist, performance creative, growth creative) that realises the future is creator-driven.
- You treat organic and paid as one craft, and you can talk in depth about hooks, retention, personas and what makes content travel on Meta, Tik Tok and You Tube.
- A natural people person and talent-spotter: creators want to work with you, and you can get the best from them without scripting the life out of their content.
- Confident, you love nothing more than jumping on the phone with a promising new creator to brainstorm concepts and get them excited about working with us.
- Taste. You know the difference between content that sells and content that sells out the brand.
- Passionate about health, fitness or the outdoors, so you genuinely live the world our creators are in.
- Obsessed with learning from the industry’s best educators to keep your finger on the pulse of what’s working right now in ecommerce.
- Comfortable being the first in the door of a new team: senior enough to lead, hungry enough to do.
- What's in it for you
- A salary of £55k to £90k depending on experience plus bonus/equity package.
- The chance to build a whole pillar of the business from scratch, and the team around it
- Fully remote (you must be able to prove you're a self-starter)
- Flexible working hours, but usually 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
- Team trips to Portugal
- Team meetups at events, our own Exhale festivals and the roastery
