The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.
The primary purpose of the Sales Manager role is to grow revenue and margin performance through effective account management, opening new accounts, implementable communication plans and effective internal planning and communications that enhance sales relationships across EMEA markets. The role will be responsible for setting and achieving the sales strategies in each market, appointing new distribution partners where relevant and negotiating commercial terms with partners. The role reports into and works closely with the Sales Director.
Key accountabilities for the role include:
- Develop and manage comprehensive business sales plans across all EMEA accounts, identifying key account activities to ensure revenue targets are achieved.
- Deliver annual volume, profit, and strategic initiative targets set by the Sales Director.
- Collaborate with Marketing to create and execute effective communication and launch plans for current ranges, range updates, and new product introductions.
- Present rolling business plans and updated forecasts at internal planning meetings.
- Proactively monitor and evaluate account performance, providing strategic recommendations and solutions to address risks and capitalise on growth opportunities.
- Partner closely with distributors and retailers on forecasting, inventory management, and stock optimisation.
- Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing to ensure KPIs are tracked, delivered, and continuously improved.
- Maintain accurate account financial management, including invoicing, trade spend tracking, and budget control.
- Attend and manage relevant trade shows and retailer events, representing the business and driving commercial outcomes.
- Lead distributor and partner presentations for range sell-in, promotional strategies, and key initiatives.
- Design and implement new processes and ways of working to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
To succeed in this role you will be:
- Proven experience in territory management and development, ideally across EMEA markets.
- Strong background in sales with a demonstrated ability to build and grow strategic business relationships.
- Experienced in full-cycle business development, including lead pursuit, qualification, proposal presentation, objection handling, negotiation, and closing.
- Strategic forward thinker with the ability to work independently and use initiative effectively.
- Highly organised and analytical, with strong prioritisation and time management skills.
- Personable and diplomatic approach when managing challenging situations and resolving issues.
- Skilled in measuring, monitoring, and reporting on project performance and sales progress against targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident presenting and influencing at senior stakeholder level.
- Self-motivated, driven, and committed to continuous professional development.
- Additional language proficiency in German and French is advantageous.
