About the Role: The Head of Supply Chain Operations is a new strategic leadership role within the company, with overall responsibility for the accuracy and operation of the company’s inventory position, including EXG’s inventory management data system and processes, the demand planning process, and customer operations team. Managing all global 3PL warehouse operations and logistics suppliers to ensure all Customer POs and operations operate within agreed SLA’s and performance KPI’S. Implementing technology solutions to automate processes where applicable.

Team Management & Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing Operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional development.

Ownership of Inventory Management System and Processes:

  • Own & optimise the company’s inventory position and accuracy within the IMS system (ZOHO) & intelligence system (NOVA).
  • Lead the operations team through the development, build, enhancement, and successful implementation of the Operations Hub within EXG’s intelligence system (NOVA).
  • Monitor and analyse inventory turnover, optimise stock levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Ensuring sales, finance, production, and exec leadership teams have access to “live and accurate” stock data to enable effective inventory decisions.

Customer Orders (B2B PO management & D2C Orders):

  • Ensure all Customer Purchase orders are processed and delivered to agreed SLA’s.
  • Working closely with Sales teams on Customer PO accuracy and IncoTerms.
  • Working with the sales teams, leverage the customer ops teams customer relationships to propose inflight customer stock purchase orders (Replenishment opportunities, Stock management opportunities).

Global 3pl Warehouse & Logistics Operations:

  • Working closely with Finance & Operations Director; monitor and negotiate improved terms with all global shipping Logistics and 3pl providers as required to deliver service and cost improvements.
  • Working closely with the production & sales teams to plan timely and optimised shipments to relevant warehouses and customers.
  • Oversee the operational efficiency of our global 3PL warehouse solutions, ensuring the precision of data, effective stock controls, and adherence to agreed SLA’s.
  • Work to streamline the global 3pl warehouse infrastructure, optimising operations, establishing new locations when necessary, and coordinating stock transfers as needed.
  • Provide the Exec leadership team with a comprehensive monthly operational report detailing warehouse performance.
  • Manage and optimise global marketplace operations (E-commerce, Marketplaces, & Dropship partnerships) ensuring appropriate marketplace delivery SLA’s are achieved.

Inventory Demand Planning:

  • Lead the demand planning process, collaborating closely with the finance, sales, marketing, and Product teams to ensure accurate demand planning with factories.
  • Offering recommendations for activities aimed at boosting the performance of slower-moving product lines.
  • Providing inputs into purchasing and procurement processes in collaboration with the Product team.
  • Making recommendations for improvements to ensure a streamlined and efficient demand supply chain.
  • Partnering with sales teams to meet FOB customer and market requirements effectively.
  • Ensure Marketplace and E-commerce strategic demand planning needs are prioritised.
  • Working with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams develop product and packaging solutions that optimise maximise ROI and minimise chargebacks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commercial, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior management role within consumer products.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience of global 3pl warehousing and distribution chains.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align operational goals with overall business objectives.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
