This is a hands‑on role offering exposure to the full marketing mix, from content creation and translation to event delivery and campaign performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for local Sales team marketing requests, working with the Marketing Specialist EMEA and Regional Marketing Manager to prioritize requests, coordinate next steps, and maintain clear communication.
  • Support regional events in coordination with Marketing Managers and the Events team, including preparation and attendance at both in‑person events and webinars.
  • Develop a working understanding of EXFO's products and solutions, using this to adapt existing content and refine messaging for regional relevance.
  • Coordinate the localization of globally published marketing content for key EMEA regions, helping prepare, adapt, and share translated materials with relevant stakeholders.
  • Produce and manage German‑language marketing content, including the German newsletter and German social media activity.
  • Create adhoc social media content for other EMEA regions as needed.
  • Equip the Sales organization with content that supports the sales process across all stages of the buyer's journey.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing experts, event planners, corporate communications, public relations colleagues, and EXFO's internal marketing agency (writers and designers) to deliver creative regional campaigns and collateral.
  • Manage the inventory of marketing giveaways held in Southampton, ensuring stock is tracked and available for events.
  • Share approved content and updates with local media partners, such as relevant industry newsletters and associations.
  • Track campaign performance and share this with the team to help ensure objectives are met.

This role has direct ownership of the following recurring and ongoing deliverables:

  • German newsletter – planning, content coordination and distribution.
  • German social media – ongoing content creation and posting.
  • Ad hoc social media content for other EMEA region.
  • Ad hoc translation of marketing content for regional audiences.
  • Event preparation and attendance, covering both in‑person events and webinars.

  • Autonomous and proactive approach to handling marketing requests, collateral creation, and event management.
  • Creative problem‑solving skills, including the confidence to use AI tools to improve efficiency and output.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. German language skills are desirable, but not a requirement.
  • Experience with common marketing tools is helpful but not essential. The intern may work with platforms such as Marketo, Hootsuite, LinkedIn, CRM systems, Microsoft Office, analytics dashboards, and AI‑assisted content tools, with training provided where needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines at once.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across marketing, sales, and cross‑functional teams.

What We Offer

  • Hands‑on experience across the full marketing mix within a global technology business.
  • Exposure to international marketing campaigns, events, and cross‑functional collaboration.
