Exeter School is the leading co‑educational day school in the Southwest, educating more than 1,000 pupils aged 3–18. We are appointing a Marketing and Digital Content Officer to join our External Relations team as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver marketing initiatives that enhance the school’s profile and support pupil recruitment.
  • Manage social media and digital content for alumni engagement, maintaining strong relationships with former pupils.
  • Create and produce engaging video and written content for social media and other platforms.
  • Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
  • Use analytical tools including Google Analytics to measure and report on digital marketing performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the pre‑prep, junior and senior schools and alumni community to coordinate marketing messages.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in digital marketing and a solid understanding of digital marketing principles and strategy.
  • Experience producing video content for social media.
  • Confidence using digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and analytical tools (Google Analytics).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, content management systems (CMS) and email marketing tools.
  • Strong organisational, creative and proactive communication skills.
  • Valid DBS clearance and willingness to undergo child protection screening with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Hours and Salary

  • Full‑time salary £30,000 per annum (pro‑rated if reduced holiday hours are taken).
  • During term time the hours are 8:30 am–5:00 pm Monday to Friday with a 30‑minute lunch break.
  • During school holidays hours may remain the same or reduce to three days per week by agreement.
  • Some evening and weekend work may occasionally be required, for which time off in lieu will be provided.
