Job Description
- Grow revenue, increase Assets Under Management (AUM) of portfolio and increase inflows of net new money (NNM), achieving growth by leveraging brand, channels and RM network.
- Work collaboratively with Investors, Wealth Planners, and other relevant teams such as the Product Specialists network to develop client relationships.
- Maintain an understanding of economic, business, tax, property, legal and other relevant matters to a standard that is commensurate with the nature of the existing and target client base.
- Leading by example through high financial results and offering coaching to other RMs to create opportunities to aid their professional development.
- Works closely with other Bank Departments to maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Ensures follow-up on all risk and compliance issues (such as CCR, KYC, Compliance requests, Risk Management requests, Internal Audit requests)
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive relationship management coupled with a significant level of experience within Private Banking is a requirement for the role.
- A proven track record in asset gathering, asset growth and revenue generation is essential for clients resident in Kuwait and Bahrain.
- Highly developed communication skills for use in direct client contact and problem solving.
- Ability to provide strong financial and statistical analysis.
Strong customer service focus with attention to detail and the ability to think creatively to solve problems
· Maintain good cohesion with outsource providers ie. Accountants, Lawyers, IT, Insurance Brokers, Compliance Consultants and Custodian etc
· Participate pro-actively within the Annual Compliance and Financial Audit
· Identify & report any Operational risks to the Director of Operations / Company Board
· Own a solid working knowledge of UK Equities inclusive of IPO’s, Placings, Dealing, Corporate Action events and the settlement cycle.
· Monthly Custody and Management Commission collection and reconciliation
· Investigate & respond to any incoming client queries
· Maintain accurate client data on all platforms
· Assist in defining and delivering initiatives that achieve and sustain continuous improvements in business performance, as measured in terms of customer experience, process effectiveness, service levels and process efficiency
· Assist within all areas of Learning and Development of the team including the creation of bespoke training plans to ensure adherence to the Certification and Conduct Rules of staff members.
· General maintenance and administration of Employee records ie. Annual Leave, Employee entitlements, and the provision of Employment Contracts and Reference requests.
· Organisation and payment of the monthly Payroll, PAYE, NI and Pension entitlements to staff members and outside agencies.
· Other ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Director of Operations.
· Excellent standard of education – Maths and English essential
· Accuracy with attention to detail
· Good analytical skills: proficient in Microsoft packages – Excel, Word, Outlook
· Good understanding of full Front to Back investment processes including knowledge of discretionary investment management, IPO’s, Placings, SIPPs, and ISA products.
· An understanding of ALL the following: corporate actions, trading, security settlement, reconciliation, security transfer / re-registration and account opening processes.
