What you’ll be doing
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with a portfolio of national accounts across all protection propositions.
- Deliver agreed annual premium income targets in line with business objectives and Distribution Quality Measures (DQM).
- Act as the primary point of contact for all opportunities across the allocated account portfolio.
- Identify and develop growth opportunities across products, including viable cross‑selling opportunities.
- Create and deliver tailored business development plans and contact strategies for each account.
- Analyse account performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities, using CRM, DQM and market insight.
- Work collaboratively with Sales Managers and internal stakeholders to maximise The Exeter’s visibility and positioning in the market.
- Ensure strong governance across account relationships, including structured meetings, agendas, minutes and action tracking.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including relevant legislation and competitor propositions.
- Provide regular competitor and market analysis, sharing insights and recommendations internally.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance processes and FCA Individual Conduct Rules.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience working with intermediaries, IFAs and/or wealth managers.
- Strong knowledge of protection products.
- A demonstrable track record of developing and growing new and existing accounts.
- Experience in senior relationship and territory management roles.
- Confident presenting to senior and occasionally challenging audiences.
- Strong influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, self‑motivated and comfortable managing a national portfolio.
- Ideally CII qualified (or working towards it).
- Confident with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and Power BI.
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
