We’re looking for someone patient and super-organised to work in our carpentry and joinery team. You don’t need any teaching experience or qualifications for this role, but you’ll need some industry experience, whether that’s labouring, machining, window-fitting or anything in between.
Your role is to support students, prepare workspaces and facilitate practical activities. You’ll need to be:
- organised and reliable
- supportive, patient and approachable
- confident with industry-specific tools and machinery, with a great knack for explaining things simply and clearly
- flexible and happy to muck in and do what’s needed
- knowledgeable about / experienced in a construction trade
What you’ll be doing:
- preparing for practical lessons - ensuring workspaces are spic and span
- ordering tools, equipment, materials – keeping stocks just right
- supporting lessons by guiding students and sharing your technical knowledge
- a limited amount of teaching
