Exeter City Football Club seeks to ensure the safety, safeguarding and wellbeing of all children, young people and adults at risk who engage in its activities.

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and enthusiastic part-time Matchday Coordinator to support in the planning and delivery of matchday operations and lead on the resourcing of our stewards and gate staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a safe, professional and enjoyable experience for everyone attending our home matchdays at St James Park.

Role

As Matchday Coordinator the successful candidate will liaise with key stakeholders, including police, medical teams, security providers, contractors and governing bodies to meet operational and safety requirements. Assisting in the implementation of stadium safety procedures, crowd management measures and emergency planning to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and football regulations. Coordinating matchday resources, including staffing, equipment, accreditation and signage.

The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for stewards, gate staff, medics, and security personnel, ensuring effective communication and deployment of staff. Planning and managing stewarding and gate staff rotas for matchdays and selected non-matchday events. Supporting in the recruitment, onboarding, induction, training, and ongoing development of matchday staff in partnership with HR.

Candidates will need to have strong organisational, administrative and communication skills and be committed to working evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with home matchday fixtures at St James Park.

This is a part-time role, 15 hours a week inclusive of matchdays.
