Matchday Bar Staff
Exeter City Football Club seeks to ensure the safety, safeguarding and wellbeing of all children, young people and adults at risk who engage in its activities. This role is part of our Matchday experience and supports our sustainability, customer service and safety commitments.

Exeter City Football Club is a special club with over 20 years of Supporters Trust ownership. Our ownership model places supporters and community engagement at the forefront of everything we do, balancing on-field success with long-term sustainability. We nurture talent through our Academy and have a track record of promoting players to the first team. In 2024, Exeter City Women’s team transitioned to full management by the Club and were promoted to the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division in 2024.

Main Purpose
As part of the Matchday Bar Staff team you will work in one of our busy bars during matchdays, serving spectators a variety of beverages and snacks in a fast-paced environment. You will follow instructions to ensure smooth service.
Role Summary
This role requires:
- Age 18+
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a positive and friendly environment
- Dynamism and enthusiasm to provide an excellent drinking experience and meet customer needs and expectations
The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Understand the menu to provide product knowledge to customers
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Serve bar snacks
- Check identification and confirm legal drinking age; ensure licensing regulations are followed
- Follow cash handling procedures for cash and card payments
- Interact with customers to take orders accurately and meet preferences
- Collect and restock glasses; maintain cleanliness and stock rotation
- Maintain a fast-paced environment and work as part of a team to resolve problems
- Keep bars clean and safe in accordance with company policy, health and safety, SOP and statutory requirements
- Familiarity with emergency and evacuation procedures
- Log security incidents, accidents and near misses; inform supervisor or steward as appropriate
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with uniform requirements
- Be a positive ambassador of the Club at all events
- Comply with company policy and code of conduct
- Attend staff training and meetings; perform other reasonable tasks as required
