Our Foundation English team is dedicated to an experience of post-16 English that prioritises difference, engagement, and confidence: a different experience to school, encouraging new and exciting approaches. We believe the teaching of English should be inherently engaging, so every lesson we teach aims to showcase the joy of the subject. Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality GCSE and Functional Skills English teaching to post-16 learners
  • Managing effective and inspiring learning in the classroom
  • Contributing to areas of our curriculum development and teaching approach
  • Work collaboratively within a support and forward-thinking team

Qualifications & Experience

  • An untiring drive to support learners in developing their literacy
  • A passion for engaging and motivating learners who may have previously found English a struggle
  • A strong communicator and relate effectively to young people
  • Applications from experienced teachers, as well as those newer to the profession are welcome; we will be seeking to appoint a teacher with the greatest ability, enthusiasm and commitment to our ethos in the team
