Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing buildings as part of a shared rota
  • Act as a key holder and respond to alarm activations when required
  • Complete regular inspections of buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment
  • Undertake repairs, basic maintenance and report issues needing specialist contractors
  • Support heating, water and plant systems to ensure smooth daily operation
  • Manage deliveries, move equipment and transport items between sites
  • Maintain the appearance of buildings and grounds, including painting, tidying and minor repairs
  • Set up rooms for exams, events and meetings
  • Winter gritting and snow clearance
  • Car-park marshalling for large events
  • Help with cleaning tasks when needed
  • Keep facilities areas clean, tidy and safe

Requirements

  • Full-clean driving licence required, as you may need to drive college vehicles.
  • Full-time, permanent role. From time to time, some evenings and occasional weekend work may be required, depending on college needs.
