Responsibilities
- Opening and closing buildings as part of a shared rota
- Act as a key holder and respond to alarm activations when required
- Complete regular inspections of buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment
- Undertake repairs, basic maintenance and report issues needing specialist contractors
- Support heating, water and plant systems to ensure smooth daily operation
- Manage deliveries, move equipment and transport items between sites
- Maintain the appearance of buildings and grounds, including painting, tidying and minor repairs
- Set up rooms for exams, events and meetings
- Winter gritting and snow clearance
- Car-park marshalling for large events
- Help with cleaning tasks when needed
- Keep facilities areas clean, tidy and safe
Requirements
- Full-clean driving licence required, as you may need to drive college vehicles.
- Full-time, permanent role. From time to time, some evenings and occasional weekend work may be required, depending on college needs.
