Motor Mechanic

The airport is looking for an in-house mechanic to join the team in maintaining its various vehicles and equipment on site. The position is varied and will utilise your experience to enhance the team.

Are you a that someone who has personal qualities and attributes to work on old and new motorised vehicles & aviation equipment.

In addition you will assist in maintaining aviation Pushback Tugs, Passenger Coaches, Aviation Ground Power Machinery/GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and Ground Maintenance Equipment i.e. strimmer’s, blowers, grass cutters and Tractors which keep the airport operational.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, fault finding and repairs of all vehicles and equipment.
• Being part of the Winter Snow Clearing & Airfield De-icing operation

Once deemed competent, you will be required to cover weekends & evenings on a rota basis. For being On Call you will receive additional pay, in the region of £4,000.
