We are inviting applications from highly successful curriculum managers or course leaders, from computing and digital technologies or other subject areas, to be the next Head of School: Computing and Digital Technologies. The School currently offers A Level, T Level, Vocational Level 3, Level 2, Level 1 and Adult courses, and leads the College's participation in the Ministry of Defence's Cyber Bursary Scheme. It also operates as a MEGA Hub for CyberFirst's engagement with local high schools.
The successful candidate will provide clear strategic and operational leadership to drive the next phase of the School's development. They will ensure an ambitious and responsive curriculum, aligned to sector developments and local, regional and national skills priorities, and secure consistently strong outcomes, positive destinations and aspirational futures for all learners.
Applicants are not required to be subject specialists in computing and digital technologies. We welcome applications from candidates with a strong track record of high-quality learner-centred and evidence-informed teaching, along with the leadership credibility to support and challenge a team of dedicated subject specialists to deliver sustained improvement and change.
As a member of the College Management Team, the postholder will benefit from invaluable professional development and support, making this role suitable for successful course or team leaders seeking a wider and more strategic remit, as well as for more experienced leaders of broader curriculum areas.
