Role Overview: Lead Hazardous Area Electrician As a Lead Hazardous Area Electrician, you will support electrical projects in Hazardous and Non-Hazardous environments across the UK. Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Support Manager, you will be the main on-site contact, ensuring effective communication and project execution. The role requires organization, technical proficiency, leadership, and collaboration skills, with a focus on safety and customer service. At Flogas, we aim to deliver 100% renewable energy by 2040, supporting customers in reducing emissions and adopting new technologies like heat pumps, solar panels, bio-fuels, and renewable gases. Candidate Requirements Approved electrician with an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (JIB Graded Gold card or above) Compex modules EX01-4 or IECEx COPC Modules EX001-8 C&G 2391 or 2391-52 or 2394 & 2395 Inspection and Testing CCSNG/JIB or equivalent Safety passport Experience installing IECEx/Atex rated equipment, motors, control stations, junction boxes, lighting Proficient in installing Metal Trunking, conduit, tray, SWA cables, glands, LV distribution equipment Understanding of schematic, Loop, P&ID, zone drawings, control systems, fault finding Good IT skills in Microsoft Office Physically capable of demanding tasks including heavy lifting Benefits 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays, with options to buy 5 additional days Pension scheme with employer contributions Life assurance up to 4 times salary £30/night for overnight work Company van, tools, and qualification costs covered Fully funded eye tests and glasses contribution Health Cash plan up to £900/year Enhanced maternity/paternity benefits Training opportunities Retail discounts at 900 stores Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 helpline One volunteering day annually Monthly recognition awards About Flogas Flogas supplies LPG across Britain and is investing in renewable energy solutions for the future.
