How you'll power our business as a Router

We have an exciting opportunity for a Router to join our Operations team. In this role, you'll be responsible for planning and optimising vehicle routes across a regional network, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. Working closely with depot teams, drivers and operational stakeholders, you'll play a key role in maximising fleet utilisation, maintaining service standards and supporting business performance.

What you'll be doing

• Planning andoptimisingdaily delivery routes for both rigid and articulated vehicles.
• Working closely with depot operations teams tomaximisedelivery efficiency andminimisetransport costs.
• Managing delivery volumes while ensuring compliance with operational and customer requirements.
• Reconciling daily deliveries against plan andidentifyingopportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintainingaccuratedriver,vehicleand routing data within company systems.
• Monitoringdriver availability, vehicleutilisationand operational performance.
• Liaising with depots,driversand customers to resolve delivery issues and support service excellence.
• Supporting transport KPI achievement through effective route planning and operational coordination.
• Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standardsat all times.
• Completing administration activities accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Providing regional operational support and cover whenrequired.

What we’ll need from you

• Strongorganisationalskills with the ability toprioritiseeffectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with operational data.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.

• Strong IT skills and confidence using operational systems and technology.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.
• Understanding of transport,logisticsor routing operations would beadvantageous.
• Previousexperience within a transport,logisticsor routing environment.
• Knowledge of EU Drivers' Hoursregulationsand Working Time Directive requirements.
• Experience within the fuel distribution industry.
• Experience working with routing and fleet management systems.
