Position: Employee Relations Manager (12 month maternity cover)
Location: 17 Europa View, Sheffield Business Park, S9 1HX (with some ad‑hoc travel to our care homes)
Contract type: Permanent, full‑time
Rate: £38,451 per annum plus £3,000 car allowance

About the role
As an ER Manager with Exemplar Health Care you will work within the Employee Relations (ER) Team and support our operational teams to ensure a professional, fair and consistent approach to our policies and procedures, minimising risk and promoting a positive ER culture.
- Lead the management of all Employee Relations cases, which vary in complexity, risk and volume, including cases that may involve dismissal.
- Support and coach operational teams on each stage of any ER case to embed best practice, ensuring advice is compliant with relevant policies and the ACAS Codes of Practice.
- Support and manage any employment litigation claims, including collaborating with other HR colleagues and external legal partners.
- Collate, analyse and report on data to identify trends and provide proactive resolutions.
- Provide weekly/periodic reporting on case statistics and case work updates.
About you / Qualifications
- Ideally, 2 years hands‑on Employee Relations experience within a fast‑paced HR/ER function.
- High professional standards, methodical and diligent, with a high attention to detail.
- Effective organisational skills and an ability to manage and meet competing priorities with varying deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.
- Effective and adaptive communication across a variety of methods to varying stakeholders and situations, e.g. difficult conversations.
- Good analytical skills.
- CIPD qualifications or willingness to undertake them.
- A full, clean driving licence, and your own car.
